We are a family of five, and our three children started at tiger cho’s about six years ago. we tried another school before coming here, and it was a definite no go. one class with master cho and we were in! he is an excellent teacher who gives all of his attention to the students and their progress. my husband and i started about one year later. i can tell you, i never thought at our age, (late 40’s and late 50’s), we could do something like this, but we have both received our 1st dan black belts, and we’re on our way to 2nd dan. our children ages 11, 14, and 17, are on their way to 3rd dan! i absolutely love that we’ve done this as a family.
My daughter loves it at master cho's, she has been going there for 5 years, 2 years elsewhere prior. we were given a free class to try it out. she has learned a lot, memorized several forms tiger forms 4-8 including black belt forms 1 and 2 working on 3. attended competitions in texas. other parents have told me that she is impressive for an 11y old. it takes time to get to the advanced stuff, which requires discipline and the willingness of the students to pay attention. after my daughter got her 1st degree black belt which is only the beginning, she has to refine and focus what she has learned, will take another 3 years before she can test for 3rd degree. this is not just self defense it is a discipline.
My son, daughter and myself have been enrolled at tiger cho's for over a year now. my 6 year old son had major behavioral issues prior to enrolling. grand master cho has worked with him on controlling his anger and has been teaching him to respect himself and others. my 8 year old daughter was so shy and lacked self confidence. after a month at tiger cho's she started being more outgoing and confident. i enjoy getting to participate in the adult classes as well as the family class. in the year that i have taken tae kwon do my health has drastically improved. i would strongly recommend tae kwon do at tiger cho's. tae kwon do has changed our lives!
I've been attending tiger cho's tkd with my mom and dad for over 2 years, and i hate to leave now. my dad has been approved for a pcs move to new jersey, and the one thing we can't bring with us is grandmaster cho. both me and my parents have moved up the ranks to blue belts, and enjoyed every moment of it. grandmaster cho has helped me understand new techniques whenever i had trouble, and the other black belts would assist whenever needed. each time we came, master cho was waiting to teach. no vacation, no sick days, no break time. he has dedicated his time to helping create the next generation of martial artists. grandmaster cho has supported us day after day and class after class, up to where we are now. while we can't bring master cho with us, it will be a place we visit whenever we come back to oklahoma. to other families considering tkd for their children or the whole family, you're not going to find a better business anywhere in oklahoma.
My family has been taking lessons from grand master cho for the past four years. grand master cho is as authentic as you can get and he personally teaches all the classes. from white belt to black belt, he immerses his students in a rich korean culture of taekwondo. the journey to earn your black belt is hard but exciting. be prepared for a little blood, sweat, and tears, and a lot of bruises! there were times when we wanted to quit because it is definitely not easy. fortunately we were able to persevere with a lot of practice, help from other students, and the guidance from grand master cho. we all earned our 1st degree black belts. grand master cho’s personal skills are amazing to watch when he demonstrates the beautiful forms of taekwondo.
Working with grand master cho has been a gift for me and my daughter. within just a couple of weeks of going to class i've seen a change in my daughter's respect towards me. this is been something that we've been dealing with for a very long time, and to find something that can make even the slightest bit of change in such a short period of time, in a positive way is a gift. my daughter has also been dealing with some kids bullying her and that problem has dissipated. i am so grateful for the confidence and strength my daughter and i have gained from working with grand master cho at tiger cho's teakowndo words cannot express you have to experience it for yourself. see you there soon. ?
I had been researching extensively online for a great tae kwon do establishment when i came across tiger cho's tae kwon do. i cannot even begin to list the owner/instructor, "tiger cho's" credentials and accomplishments! no doubt there is no one more experienced or qualified to teach tae kwo do in all of oklahoma or the nation for that matter. master tiger cho was honored by the wtf! (world tae kwon do federation) in 2012, and is considered a national treasure in korea. the walls inside the classroom depict tigers life, and all the lives that he has influenced. i initially intended for only my young son to attend class, now our entire family attends class! master cho's classes are fun, exciting, interesting, and i always look forward to the next experience. the most interesting and kind people attend tiger chos, so this has been a great opportunity for me to meet new people. i love the sense of belonging, and how we all work together in and out of class. our family now works together as well, helping each other to achieve goals, which in turn is building self esteem and disipline. if you are serious about learning and loving tae kwon do from only the best, and surrounding yourself with kind people, then tiger chos is your best choice.
We were able to schedule a free trial class here for our 6 year old son. after doing this our son was extremely excited to give it a try. the owner here is a great teacher and fantastic with the kids. we are looking forward to continuing to take our son here.
Master cho is great with my son.. his lessons has helped so much with his behavior and his autism.
This is the best martial arts center with grandmaster cho is the best human being as well..
December 29, 2012 i started this school 3 months ago with my children.. first of all, i would like to express my thanks to my teacher. they say discipline is the first thing... it's really true. respect is very important here, next to martial arts. it would be a great loss to not enroll in this school, when it's oklahama city... i invite everyone to this school to make us feel healthy and happy....with love
